It was bound to happen sooner or later.  After weeks of denial, I finally gave in. My lust for a new gaming laptop was so great I eventually bought one. And just by reading the title alone, you know I’m referring to  Gateway P-7801u Notebook PC FX Gaming Notebook!

Available a popular retailers, like TigerDirect, the Gateway P-7801u will carve a virtual path of destruction wherever I go.  What makes the Gateway P-7801u so enticing is the price.  At such a phenomental value, I can take a huge sigh of relief, since my bank account will not take a big hit.  Equivalent gaming rigs from Alienware, Dell or VoodooPC will cost a lot more; up to three times as much!

The Gateway P-7801u takes everything politically correct about laptops and throws it into the gutter.  There’s no wimpy graphics card or extended battery life as commonly found with most lightweight notebooks.  In fact, you can even debate whether or not 10 pounds of mobile power is really portable at all. Some may even rationalize that a 17 inch monitor is overkill, especially for writing an essay, surfing the internet or editing a photo.  Despite all this nitpicking, the Gateway P-7801u still shines above most competitors. It’s a no compromise machine that has one real purpose; playing hardcore games with outstanding performance.  Not to mention a testament to irregular sleeping patterns and a damn good reason to stay away from work. Who said gamers are rational anyway?
