I guess texting your friends while driving is not a good idea after all.  The BBC is reporting that texting on a cell phone or a wireless device is a lot more dangerous than with driving with Alcohol.  “The RAC Foundation found average reaction times slowed by 35% when 17 to 24-year-olds drove in a simulator while writing or reading texts.  In addition, “Previous studies had found reactions were 21% slower among those who had taken cannabis and 12% slower among those who had drunk to the legal limit”.

It looks like drinking a keg of beer is a lot safer than using a Blackberry or a Apple iPhone these days ;) .  Come to think of it, I hardly text anyone with my phone at all because the entire process is a big pain the ass.  And why do people text on the road anyway?  Wouldn’t it be easier to use a cell phone as a talking phone?  Wasn’t that the reason mobile phones were created in the first place?

Pretty lame if you ask me…
