It looks like Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin are looking to challenge the popular iPhone with their latest toy.  After much anticipation, Google and T-Mobile have finally revealed the Android-based T-Mobile G1 Smart Phone to the public in New York.  Android is a Linux based operating system for mobile devices and is developed by the Open Handset Alliance, which includes Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola and Samsung. On Oct. 22/08, the public can finally purchase one for $179 with a two-year plan from T-Mobile.  Expect faster Web searches and better functionality for Web applications with this new exciting toy.
