The 2008 Olympics may have ended but that won’t stop the world’s best videogame players from participating at the Electronic Sports World Cup.  Over 650 gamers from 40 countries will compete for world titles and, of course, a boatload of cash. The ESWC will hand out $200,000 in prize money to gamers and clans in the 3 day tournament.  Popular PC games, such as Counter-Strike, Quake and Warcraft III will be used as battlegrounds to determine the world’s best players.  A live feed is a available at the ESWC website.

Given the serious nature of this tournament, I wonder if any gamers get tested for caffeine or sugar content in ther bloodstream? Hmm…
